With Wellingborough Wills you can get lifetime storage for your important estate planning documents in a secure facility. Your original Will is a very important document. If it is lost, destroyed or unable to found, the assumption will be made that you do not have one. Consequently, you will be considered to have died intestate and the rules of intestacy will apply.
Why Use A Secure Facility?
If you store your documents at home, there is a chance they could be lost, destroyed or damaged in a fire or flood. The storage facility that we use is fully alarmed for security and fire. All documents are also scanned in to a computer and backed up daily to a server and a hard drive. Once your documents have been placed into storage, you will receive a storage certificate containing access cards. You will need these cards, and the answers to some security questions in order to retrieve your documents.
How Long Does It Last For?
Once your documents have been placed in storage, they can remain there until you pass away. It is advisable that you review your Will every 3-5 years or when any changes occur, such as moving house, births, marriages, deaths etc. Once reviewed or updated the document can be returned to the facility.
What Does It Cost?
If you would like to ensure that your Will is kept safe, and is not exposed to any of the risks mentioned above, you can do so for the following amounts per year:
Single person – £15
Couple – £25
